Sweden has extended a ban on entry from countries outside the European Union

The Swedish government has extended until July 7, the prohibition on entry from countries outside the EU, imposed because of the spread of coronavirus, according to a government office.

"The government decided today to extend the ban on entering the EU through the territory of Sweden until July 7, 2020. The reason for the ban remains the same - preventing the spread COVID-19", - stated in the message of the office.

The ban on entry was imposed on March 19 and since then several times renewed. As noted in the message of the government, the citizens of Sweden and persons having residence permit in the country can freely enter the country without having to be in mandatory quarantine.

Currently in Sweden recorded more than 62 million cases of infection with coronavirus, more than 5 thousand people died.
