Volodin laid flowers on Mamaev hill

The Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin laid flowers on Mamaev hill, in the day of the Victory Parade, told reporters in the administration of the Volgograd region.

According to the Agency, Volodin on Wednesday arrived in Volgograd with a working visit.

"Together with the Governor Andrei Bocharov he laid flowers on the main height of Russia — Mamaev Kurgan, which is considered one of the symbols of sacred memory," - said in the administration.

Volodin, quoted by the press service of the Duma, noted the importance of the memorial complex as a symbol of the great Victory, as places sacred memory of those who gave their lives for the country.

The President of the chamber also emphasized that the war is not spared a single family. He said that during the war he lost his grandfather, his grandmother died three brothers and my father's brother.

"The victory gave the opportunity to all of us, not only the citizens of Russia, to live, to plan for the future, raise children, enjoy life. And today we must do everything so that nobody could tarnish our Victory. We should cherish the memory of our loved ones - those who for our sake sacrificed himself, who remained in the damp ground and can not defend themselves. We have this memory to carry through the years and centuries, passing it on to our children and grandchildren. I hope it will be so, because we all do not think of themselves.
