On the Russian air base in Syria Hamim Victory parade was held
The parade, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, was held at the Russian air base in Syria Hamim, and was attended by over a thousand soldiers.
"We are honored to participate in the parade, devoted to the 75-th anniversary of victory in the great Patriotic war on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic in the same ranks with the soldiers of the Syrian army. We are United by our responsibility for the present and the future and heroic past. Be worthy of the heroism of the generation of the great Patriotic war!" - said the commander of group of troops of the armed forces in Syria, Lieutenant-General Alexander chaiko.
In the parade, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory, on the basis Hamim participated more than a thousand Russian and Syrian soldiers. The pedestrian system were military in historical form WWII, control officers and soldiers of the Russian troops, mixed air regiment, medical detachment of special forces, military police unit, a military band and a combined front calculation servicemen-women. Syria presented the special forces of the army and air force SAR and assault regiment of special purpose "Commandos" and representatives of the Maritime Academy of the armed forces of the Arab country.
In the composition of the mechanized column in the parade ground drove a Russian armored cars "Tiger-M" and "Typhoon", BTR-80 and BTR-82A, antiaircraft missile / gun systems "Pantsir" and tactical "Iskander-M", and military equipment ground units of the Syrian armed forces, only 52 units. In the aerial part of the parade included 17 aircraft: the Mi-8АТМШ, Mi-35, SA-342 Gazelle and the su-24, su-34, su-35, military transport, An-30 and An-72 and the plane of distant radar detection A-50.
As guests at the parade was attended by Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Syria, Alexander Efimov, Minister of defense of Syria corps General Ali Abdullah Ayub, Minister for President Bashar Mansour Azzam, the Syrian commander of the naval forces of major-General Yasser al-haffa, as well as the governors of the provinces of Latakia and Tartus, Hadur al Salem and Safwan of Abusada.
