In the French Senate estimated the idea to create a parliamentary "Norman format"

In the French Senate are open to the proposal to create a parliamentary dimension of the "Normandy format", have filled up the head of the upper house of the French Parliament Gerard Larcher.

"When we talk about the "channel format", we're talking about the Minsk agreement. And, of course, is the proposal made to us by our friends from the Federation Council. We are ready for this question - all that will help to move towards stabilization in Ukraine, the return of the dialogue," said Larcher reporters.

In March the President of Russia Vladimir Putin holds in the Kremlin meeting with the head of the political Council of the Ukrainian party "the Opposition platform For life" Viktor Medvedchuk and the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. Putin said that Russia is always ready to support the idea to connect the "channel format" parliamentarians from Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France, and expressed the hope that the administration of the Ukrainian leader will support this idea.

The so-called "Norman" format (with the participation of leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France) negotiations on Ukraine was established in June 2014. Then, during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the landing of allied troops in Normandy, the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany first discussed the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass. Since then has held a number of telephone conversations and meetings at the highest level, as well as contacts of Ministers of foreign Affairs.
