More than a million schoolchildren will take part in the contest "Big break"
More than one million Russian schoolchildren participate in the contest "Big break", he became the most popular project of the presidential platform "Russia – country of opportunities", said General Director Alexey Komissarov.
After remote stage, in which students are solving case studies, participants will head to the competition – 18 semi-finals in all Federal districts. The final competition will be held in October this year in Moscow.
At the same time competitive challenges launched the community "Big change" in social network "Vkontakte" – one of the most ambitious public for students in Runet. Every week in the community of the competition the participants receive information on a wide range of topics, online lectures for high school students conducted by recognised experts in the field of science and technology, art, journalism and business, and the children themselves take part in events and challenges and receive prizes.
The organizers of the contest "Big break" are ANO "Russia – country of opportunities", project "Proektoriya", fgbu "Repatriant" and movement of the Russian school. The contest is supported by Ministry of education, Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation and Federal Agency for youth Affairs. In the semi-finals will go six thousand students, finalists will be 1.2 thousand people, and the winners – 300 students in grades 8-9 and 300 tenth graders.
Tenth grade students will receive a prize of one million rubles, which they can send on tuition, and in the case of receipts in the budget Department, for mortgages or business start-up, up to five points added to your portfolio of achievements for admission to the University. Pupils of 8-9 classes including amount of 200 thousand rubles. These funds can be spent on further education and acquisition of educational gadgets.
All finalists will get a trip to "Artek", and the top 20 schools will receive financial support of two million rubles for the creation of educational opportunities and technical equipment.
