Lavrov stressed the importance of dialogue mezhliviysky

Foreign players in Libya should promote inclusive dialogue mezhliviyskomu, Turkey and Egypt agree with that, said the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"External players must do everything to help create the conditions for inclusive dialogue mezhliviysky. Among my contacts in the last few days had conversations with the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey, and Minister of foreign Affairs of Egypt. Both my colleague clearly spoke in favor of this approach: the lack of a military solution is necessary for all to recognize, you have to sit at the negotiating table and seek a mutually acceptable agreement," Lavrov told reporters after talks with foreign Ministers of China and India.

In Libya, the confrontation between the national consensus Government (NTC) Fayeza Zarraga, which controls Tripoli and areas to the West of the country, and the LDF, which cooperates with sitting on the East by the Parliament. The NTC supports Turkey, and LNA – Egypt.

In Cairo on 6 June took place the meeting of President of Egypt with the Haftarot and the head sits in the East of Libya's Parliament. Following the meeting, the head of Egypt announced the "Cairo initiative," which includes a cease-fire throughout Libya from June 8 and conditions for a political settlement. The initiative was supported by Russia, the US and several Arab States, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It was opposed by the NTC and Turkey.

For more than a year the army of the Haftarah attempts to recapture the capital Tripoli. Both sides claim that opponents are using weapons and manpower from the outside. In recent weeks, the NTC forces have reported significant progress in the battle for Tripoli and announced the intention to build on the success, to establish control over the city of Sirte and other areas to the East of the capital.
