Forbes named the best Russian University

Forbes magazine published a ranking of the 100 best universities in Russia, by placing in first place in this national research University "Higher school of Economics". Last year's leader MISIS this year took 16 th place.

This year Forbes changed the rating methodology that resulted in changes in it. Thus, changes in the metrics "Quality of education" - there is a parameter "Quality of teachers", consisting of estimates for the salaries of teachers, ratio of teachers and students, the presence and share of foreign teachers. Option "international activities" now consists of estimates for the share of foreign students studying in the University, organizing study tours and collaboration with foreign universities double degree programmes.

According to the study, the total score won the first place at the HSE amounted to 68,07 points. In second place MSU with 67,55 points, the third - the Moscow physical-technical Institute (of 53.04 points). Fourth place at the Ural Federal University named after first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin (50,48 points), fifth national research nuclear University "MEPhI" 47,77 points.

Also among the ten best universities in Russia was MGTU imeni N. Uh.Bauman (47,06 points), national research Tomsk Polytechnic University (45,46 points), Saint-Petersburg national research University of information technologies, mechanics and optics (45.1 points), the Russian Academy of national economy and state service under the President of the Russian Federation (44,98 points) and new economic school (43.93 points).
