The state security Committee of Belarus does not comment on the statements of lawyers of the applicant for the post of President of the Republic Victor Babariko and his son Edward on the presentation of the prosecution in criminal cases, told RIA Novosti on Monday, the press service of the KGB.

On Saturday, the counsel, Babariko senior Dmitry Laevsky has told RIA Novosti that the policy charged under the "business Belgazprombank". While lawyers are under a subscription about nondisclosure of data and the essence of the charges can not explain.

"There is information that was spread by the lawyers, that the charges brought against Edward, and Victor Babariko. Currently we do not comment on this situation, there are investigative actions. If we have some information appears, we'll publish or distribute," - said the representative office.

In June at the head office of Belgazprombank, which Babariko headed for 20 years until the decision to advance a candidate for President, were searched. The state control Committee (SCC) of the Republic declared that on the basis of financial organizations acted organized criminal group, the conclusion of money abroad. Thursday was detained by Babariko and his son Edward, they are placed in the KGB detention center. All in all, about 20 people were detained, including top managers of the Bank. On Friday the SCC RIA Novosti reported that the materials of the "case of Belgazprombank" was transferred to the Prosecutor General of the Republic, which further the investigation of the KGB.

Earlier, the state control Committee said that Babariko "delayed because he was the direct organizer and the head of illegal activities, attempted to influence witnesses, to hide the traces of earlier committed crimes and just recently to remove a large sum of money from accounts controlled by him". The son of Babariko is suspected of tax evasion, said his close friend Alexander Zverev.

As explained RIA Novosti the head of the CEC Lidziya Yarmoshyna, the finding of Babariko custody does not prevent him to run for President and be elected head of state if he will be registered as a candidate. The initiative group policy previously passed the required documents and a sufficient number of signatures for consideration of the question of his registration as a candidate.
