Volodin criticized calling not to vote for the amendments to the Constitution

People who are calling not to vote for the amendments to the Constitution or not to vote, go "against the people", said the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"I don't understand those who today says: don't vote or not vote in elections... It's go against the people, to make such proposals. Can't do that. Each rule solves the problems of the people and the country. Support for standards will ensure the development in the country", - said Volodin, the TV channel "Russia 24".

He stressed that "bad", when "within the country start to echo those from abroad criticize" and trying to disrupt the adoption of the amendments, because the amendments which are now proposed for voting "strengthen the country and make it stronger."

"When any political party begins to link up with the Venetian Commission and other votes abroad, it suggests that the desire for power is so great that it negates the interests of citizens and the state", - said Volodin.

Earlier, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe in a statement on its website, expressing his opinion on the amendment to the Constitution of the Russian Federation according to decisions of the ECHR, recommended to remove the proposed addition to article 79 of the Constitution (on international relations), or change its wording.

As previously stated RIA Novosti, the co-chair of the working group to discuss amendments Andrey Klishas, Russia took note of the position of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, but will not amend a constitutional amendment.
