The extension of the Treaty on the reduction of strategic offensive arms (start-3) will be one of the main topics of the meeting between the representatives of Russia and the United States in Vienna June 22, said the Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov.

Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov informed RIA Novosti has confirmed that the interdepartmental consultations of the Russian Federation and the United States arms control and strategic stability will be held in Vienna June 22.

"The future of the start Treaty will be one of Central at the upcoming consultations in Vienna" - Antonov said Saturday during an online interview.

According to him, Russia wants to understand what the US plans in relation to this contract".

"As of now, at least I have the impression that the Americans have many complaints about the substance of the agreement," he added.
