EAO will receive more than 1.5 billion rubles for balanced budgets

The Jewish Autonomous region together with the Federal ministries have prepared proposals for the allocation of additional funds to balance the budget, agreed the amount of 1.53 billion rubles, said the acting Governor of the region Rostislav Goldstein in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In late may, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev instructed the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the government of the EAO to submit proposals for additional funds to balance the budget. Goldstein then said that the amount of imbalance of the budget of the region is of 2.06 billion rubles.

"Yes, the agreed amount – 1,536 billion. This was preceded by extensive work carried out by the government jointly with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of the Russian Federation on development of the Far East and the Arctic. The funds will go towards investing in people and their well-being. In this case, the investment means not only investments in the economy and business, but, more importantly, in the health, education, quality of life, demography, culture," said Goldstein.

He noted that the region has a lot of problems and debts that have accumulated over several years. In December last year, when he was appointed acting Governor, the region received a Federal grant in the amount of nearly 310 million rubles. Of these, nearly 182 million rubles went to salaries, more than 127 million for the implementation of the claim to the Treasury area. Yet repaid all claims.

"We'll try to do all that we had a budget not survival, and development", - said the Agency interlocutor.
