In the United States has said Iran does not deserve the cancellation of the arms embargo
The United States believes that Iran's conduct does not deserve the cancellation of the arms embargo in accordance with the Joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD), said the US special envoy on Iran Brian hook.
"Nobody can claim that the behavior of Iran in 2015 deserves embargo. That is our position," said hook during a telephone briefing.
"Those countries that care about peace and a more stable middle East, believe that the embargo has been extended. Enable the expiry of the embargo in the deal was a mistake. The international community should support the extension of the arms embargo," said hook.
Iran and the six international negotiators in July 2015 reached agreement on the settlement of the longstanding problem of the Iranian atom. Months of negotiations concluded with the adoption of a joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD), which in the future fully takes off Iran's previously imposed economic and financial sanctions by the UN security Council, US and EU.
The agreement in particular provided that the arms embargo will be lifted on Iran within 5 years, the supply of arms possible before, but only with the permission of the UN security Council. The deal in its original form lived for three years: in may 2018, the United States announced its unilateral withdrawal from her and the restoration of tougher sanctions against Tehran. However, because of the formal deal came only USA, the rest of the participants must comply with a condition on the abolition of the arms embargo.
