Lawyer: Poroshenko will be judged for "raiding" in the "Kyiv Patriarchate"
Ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will be tried for violation of citizens ' equality based on their religious beliefs, but it is for the RAID against the "Kiev Patriarchate" (KP), said lawyer noncanonical religious structure Neonila Tkachenko.
Poroshenko said Thursday that he filed a criminal case in connection with the receipt by Ukraine of the Tomos of autocephaly "for inciting sectarian strife by getting Thomas and the establishment of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine" (ptsu).
"Refuted the statement of Peter Poroshenko about the presentation to him of the suspect, quote, "receiving the Thomas" and "...the creation of ptsu". Procedural action - awarding of suspicion - the State Bureau of investigation within the framework of a pretrial investigation on the criminal offence under article 161 UK of Ukraine "Violation of equality of citizens depending on their religious beliefs," wrote Tkachenko on his page in Facebook.
She noted that the "Kiev Patriarchate" throughout the year "suffers from raiding". "These actions result in unauthorized modification of information computerized system of the state register of legal entities and unlawful deprivation of legal capacity of religious organizations to which you can put information about their condition to termination (liquidation)," said the lawyer.
The presentation of suspicions was made due to complaints from the parishioners of the Church of the Nativity (KP) in Odessa, accused of a crime Petro Poroshenko, Yevhen Nyshchuk and Sergei Dumenko, said Tkachenko.
The so-called Unification Council, held with the participation of Poroshenko in December 2018, announced the establishment of a PCU through the merger of two unrecognized by the world Orthodox structures. The head of the new "Autocephalous churches" became "Metropolitan" Epiphanius (in the world Sergey) Dumenko. Ordinance of the Council was, in particular, liquidated "the Kiev Patriarchate". Subsequently, the head of the KP, Patriarch Filaret (Denysenko), declared that "Kiev Patriarchate" is not disbanded and continues to exist. However, in the spring of 2019, the Ministry of culture of Ukraine announced that KP is actually and legally dissolved.
