EP faction supported a return to a differentiation of income tax

In the Duma faction "United Russia" I consider it expedient to return to the differentiation of income tax, increasing it for the upper class citizens, and decreasing for the poor, this EP does not support the establishment of a "transcendent values" of the tax to the rich, said RIA Novosti first Deputy head of the Duma faction EP Andrey Isaev.

Earlier Forbes wrote that the Russian government is discussing the possibility of introducing a progressive tax rate. Among the possible options – increasing the personal income tax rate from 13 to 15 percent for wealthy individuals whose annual income exceeds 2-3 million rubles.

"We believe that no leaps and bounds, but nevertheless to return to the differentiation of the income tax would be appropriate. We are not to set exorbitant quantities of income tax for the rich, such as in France, there is 70%, it will only lead to the fact that they will hide or withdraw their revenues from the country, but it needs to be upgraded. At the same time we would suggest to consider the reduction of income tax for the poorest segment of citizens", - Isayev said.

He stressed that the EP has always believed that after some time to return to differentiated income tax scale, the introduction of a flat scale was justified "at the time".
