The accused in the murder of a historian Sokolov changed counsel

Lawyer Sergei Lukyanov told RIA Novosti that it had entered into a protection agreement with the accused in the murder of historian Oleg Sokolov, who previously refused the services of the lawyer.

"Before I signed the agreement on the protection of Oleg Sokolov, I already started the acquaintance with case papers", - said Lukyanov.

He plans to see the case until June 22, when is scheduled the next hearing on the case. "I'm not going to delay the process and to ask to postpone the meeting. If some materials to see will not work, I will apply for familiarization in the process," - said Lukyanov.

On one of the previous meetings, the falcons did not answer the question whether he admits guilt in the murder of PhD student Anastasia Yeshchenko, but said that the contract ceases to be protected by his lawyer Alexander by Pochueva.

The loud crime has occurred in the night of 8 November 2019. Eschenko and 63-year-old Sokolov lived together in the apartment of the historian on the Moika embankment, where investigators also found fragments of the female body. Sokolov confessed to the crime and the motive named quarrel with Eschenko.
