CEC, OP and the Ombudsman are planning to collaborate in the voting period

The Central election Commission, the Public chamber and the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation signed an agreement on cooperation in preparation and conducting of the nationwide voting on amendments to the Constitution, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

"We come to a very important point. The next very important stage of our cooperation",- said the CEC Chairman, Ella Pamfilova.

In turn, the Ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova noted that the agreement creates the possibility of "joint inspection violations, information about narushenijj". "This is an important tool to raise the level of democracy, the degree of activity of our society in this important historical event," she said.

A nationwide vote on the amendment in the Constitution was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the vote will take place on 1 July. To participate in distance voting can the residents of two pilot regions - Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region.
