In Florida, the number of cases COVID-19 per day reached a record value
The number of new cases of infection with coronavirus infection identified per day in the U.S. state of Florida reached a new record value of 2.8 thousand, follows from statistics of the state Department of health.
The previous peak value, as previously reported by the Miami Herald newspaper, citing the state Department of health, was recorded on June 13, then, revealed more than 2.5 thousand new cases of the disease.
In total, according to the latest data of the Ministry, the state had recorded 80 109 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus, 2 993 patients with COVID-19 died.
As previously noted by the Miami Herald, the number of cases has been gradually increasing since mid-may, and, as the newspaper notes, it cannot be attributed only to the increase in the number of tests conducted, as it is sometimes decreased. The newspaper notes that the increase in the number of cases occurring on the background of the opening in the state bars, fitness centers, cinemas and other establishments. Now, according to the newspaper, in the state open to virtually all.
According to the latest Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes the data of the Federal and local authorities, as well as media and other public sources, only the United States registered 2 114 026 infections COVID-19, more than 116 thousand infected patients died.
