In the state Duma will introduce a bill about remote work

The bill "United Russia" about remote work will be submitted to the state Duma on Tuesday, said the press service of the party.

The faction United Russia in the Duma had previously prepared a draft law "On amendments to the Labour code of the Russian Federation". It provides a systematic processing rules remote operation, the availability of their application, the possibility of combining office and remote work.

Secretary of the General Council of party Andrey Turchak noted that EP more than a year worked on amendments to the Labor code. He drew attention to the fact that information technology has changed the labor market, created new forms of employment. At the same time, according to him, the law is changing so rapidly. As a result, there are "legal gaps" which threaten the rights and interests of workers.

"This is especially true now, when the coronavirus remote employment has become an integral part of our lives. And many companies, the period of restrictive measures intend to apply this format in the future", - quotes Turchak, the press service of the EP.

First zamrukovoditelja of fraction ER in the state Duma Andrey Isaev stressed that the pandemic coronavirus resulted in the massive transfer of people into remote work.

Separately Isaev noted the need to resolve issues of temporary transfer of people at remote employment and combo work, when people work partly remotely and partly in the office. The bill also proposed to simplify the circulation of documents between an employer and a remote employee.

The EP on Tuesday will hold an online briefing, during which Turchak, Isaev and the head of the faction United Russia in the Duma Sergei Neverov talk about the main aspects of the bill.
