The DNR said that Kiev has not responded to proposals for humanitarian corridor

The envoy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic in the contact group, foreign Minister DND Natalia Nikonorova said that Kyiv has not responded to the proposal to create a humanitarian corridor for the passage of people through the line of contact in Donbas.

The negotiations of the contact group held on Monday via videoconference.

"Despite the extreme importance and urgency of the issue of opening a humanitarian corridor through PPC with the intention of skipping needy citizens, Kiev has not provided any answer to any question posed by us or sent us a proposal", - quotes the words of Nikanorovoj press service of the foreign Ministry DND.

According to the representative of DND, the self-proclaimed Republic is still a month and a half ago, prepared a list of people who need to cross the contact line for valid and urgent reasons. "However, the Ukrainian side has not only not responded to our proposals, but did not provide their own coherent positions. The only thing that was able to articulate representatives of Ukraine's offer to hold an extraordinary meeting of the group on humanitarian issues, referring to the practical nature of the subjects," said Nikonorova.

According to her, Kiev again "tore the discussion on the organization of humanitarian corridors through PPC". "Hundreds of people caught in a difficult situation and unable to get home, forced to suffer due to a completely destructive approach of the Ukrainian side, which prefers unilateral action of a provocative nature instead of to start a fair, transparent and substantive coordination on critical humanitarian issues," - said the February.

Earlier, the press center of the operation of the United forces of Ukraine reported that checkpoints in the Donbas will resume on June 10. In an interdepartmental operational headquarters of the DNR to prevent the introduction and spread of the virus has also stated that transmission from the Republic while they are closed because of the threat of the spread COVID-19. The Ministry of health DND noted that Republic had offered to Kiev to organize humanitarian corridors for citizens crossing through the line of contact, but within six months, the answer has not received.

By the decision of Kiev in 2015 with uncontrolled Ukrainian authorities territories of Donbas entered in the transmission mode. To enter or leave the breakaway DNI and LC is possible only through checkpoints or through the territory of the Russian Federation. In the Donetsk region, there are four crossing points. The LC is valid only pedestrian checkpoint "Stanitsa Lugansk". OSCE observers said that the transport and economic blockade leads to humanitarian disaster in the region, and urged to open more crossing points. In March, the people pass through the line of contact have been suspended in connection with the situation with COVID-19.
