Vologda oblast will not hold the Victory parade on June 24

Parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war will be held in Vologda oblast on June 24 at the background of the current epidemic situation, said the Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

"We have held consultations with members of the government of the Vologda region, with NGOs, with the mayors of the two cities - Vologda and Cherepovets... due To the fact that we're still picking focal outbreaks of the disease (coronavirus infection - ed.) on the industrial sites and facilities in the towns, we fix the centers and isolated cases of the disease in medical facilities.., we see that the family centers... continue to grow.., the events on 24 June in Vologda region is impossible," said Kuvshinnikov at the meeting oberstab region.

"The twenty-fourth day of June in the Vologda region - a paid day off, but this day... is urging people to stay home and watch the celebrations in the cities-heroes on TV," added the Governor.

Kuvshinnikov reminded that while in the Vologda region only implemented the first stage of the removal of restrictions on the coronavirus.
