At the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station has denied the information about the damage to the inscription "Russia"
A huge inscription "Russia" created by artists-graffiti artists for the Day of Russia at the dam of the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP (SShHPP) in Khakassia, is in place, reported RIA Novosti press-Secretary of the Branch of JSC "RusHydro" - "Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric station. P. S. Neporozhny" Alexey Dubovets.
Graffiti "Russia" with size 570 meters in length and 52 meters in height struck artists and graffiti artists from across the country. In the works were involved 15 artists, technical staff of the station, who ensured safety of work at height, and two cranes. In total, the inscription took more than 1 thousand cans of paint.
On Monday, some media and Telegram-TV reported that the letter allegedly washed into the river Yenisei, on which stands a dam.
"I can tell you that it is not. I do it (label - ed.) see now, in the moment. This is not true," said Dubovets, responding to a question about allegedly washed away inscriptions.
According to the press service, the object for the inscription chosen by chance: the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP is the largest power plant (6,400 MW), which ensures reliable operation of power systems all over Siberia. During the year the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station produces 23.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
Construction of the dam of Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station is unique – it is the highest and longest arch-gravity dam in the world is 242 feet high and 1074 m long. To build such a dam was laid 9 million cubic meters of concrete with a total weight of 20 million tons.
