In Nepal, approved the inclusion of the country disputed with India territories
The lower house of Parliament of Nepal on Saturday at the special session approved the bill on amendment to the Constitution about changing the political map of the country showing the regions Kalapani, Limpiadura and pass Lipulekh as Nepalese territory, reports the TV channel NDTV.
Pass Lipulekh connects India and China. Territory Kalapani, including pass Lipulekh, is a disputed territory between India and Nepal, at the moment, it controls the Indian side.
Voted for the bill all 258 were in the hall of the chamber members.
The bill will be submitted for voting to the National Assembly. The upper house of the Parliament of the country will give lawmakers 72 hours for the amendment against the provisions of the bill, if any. After the National Assembly to pass the bill, it will be submitted to the President for approval, after which the bill will be included in the Constitution.
Nepal in may published a revised political and administrative map of the country, including areas of Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiadora. In response, India argued that "artificial extension" of territorial claims unacceptable, and asked the neighboring country to refrain from "unfounded map approval."
Relations between the two countries became strained after the may 8 defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh opened the 80-kilometer road connecting the pass Lipulekh to Dharchula in the state of Uttarakhand. Nepal reacted angrily to the opening of the road, stating that it passes through its territory. India has rejected this allegation, claiming that the road is completely passes through its territory.
