The Parliament introduced a draft programme of activities of the government
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced to the Verkhovna Rada the revised draft resolution on the program of its activities, the relevant information is published on the Parliament website.
Earlier, the Cabinet introduced to the Parliament the draft programme of activities of the government. According to the document, the Ukrainian government will stick to the course for the country's integration with the European Union and NATO. The Cabinet intends to provide for the material welfare of Ukrainians by building an effective economic system of the country. The government plans to develop the business, create new jobs, to ensure equal opportunities for entrepreneurs, to adhere to high social standards, to develop education, science, culture and public services. In addition, the Cabinet plans to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and safe reintegration of the uncontrolled territories of Kiev Donbass. However, the government will direct efforts at solving problems that have arisen because of the crisis caused by the pandemic coronavirus.
The government program described in ten pages, does not contain specific figures or indicators. The relevant Committee of Parliament on Finance, tax and customs policy has criticized the document and recommended that Parliament send to Refine the programme of activities of the government.
Happy March 4 at the extraordinary meeting, has appointed a new Prime Minister Denis Smagala and updated composition of the government. If the government is dismissed, it will work until the election of a new Verkhovna Rada. The next parliamentary elections should take place in 2024. According to Ukrainian legislation, following the approval of the programme of action, the government gets immunity for a year and can not be prematurely dismissed.
