Ukraine partner status in NATO will get nothing, according to Sunfade

The status of the partner advanced capabilities, NATO will not give Ukraine nothing, neither in economic terms nor in terms of security, according to the Senator Oleg Morozov.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on Friday that the country received the status of advanced partner of NATO's capabilities. In April NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance is considering the possibility of providing in the future Ukraine the status of a partner with advanced features.

"For NATO, it is a nice gesture without any obligations. I am sure that there are no consequences it will not have neither the economic situation in the Ukraine nor for its security since the peace process in the Donbass does not depend on the position of NATO and the political will of Kiev, which he doesn't," said Morozov, RIA Novosti.

He stressed that if Kiev nourish other hopes for assistance from the Alliance, they are "absolutely empty", and the decision of NATO is "purely propaganda", because it says that we are not talking about membership in the Alliance.

"For Ukraine it is only an occasion to declare her love for the ocean, and try to capitalize on this position through money, weapons and political support",- said the Senator.
