Sberbank explained the cancellation of payments to children for the debts

The Bank had to write off one-off payments for the children to repay debts only when bailiffs were sent to the Bank the decision about withdrawal from the client's account, and the enrollment was not marked as a social payment, or if the client has instructed the repayment of debt from the account that received the payment, said the credit institution.

Clients of Sberbank in Twitter on the eve complained about the cancellation of the Bank in respect of the debt of child support paid in connection with the pandemic coronavirus. The Bank told RIA Novosti that Sberbank write-off lump sum payments to children on account of repayment of debts are not a system, it is checked.

"Open channel we have identified approximately 0.001% of cases where our clients might encounter with the write-off of funds to their accounts as support during a pandemic COVID19. Sberbank has taken all possible measures to ensure that this situation affected as little as possible our customers, but unfortunately, completely to exclude such cancellation failed", - told in the Bank.

The savings Bank has noted that such a situation could occur if the Bank received actual decision about withdrawal from the customer's account from the bailiffs, and received the enrollment was not as marked social withdrawal, or the customer transferred funds between your accounts, in this case they lose their protected status. Also such situation is possible if the client has a debt on credit products of the Bank, and at the conclusion of the credit agreement, the customer has given the Bank an order for the repayment of the debt from the account, which received payments of state support.

"For each identified case, the Bank conducts operational test and returns the funds. We recommend to our customers faced with a similar write-offs, contact the Bank in any convenient way. Such appeals will be considered by the Bank in the first place" - promised in the Bank.

According to the credit institution, the Bank has already produced nearly 18 million payments for children under the age of 16 years. The total amount of payments of state support to families with children in connection with the coronavirus was more than 208 billion rubles.
