Trutnev instructed to prepare a development plan of Arkhangelsk
Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev instructed the acting Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Alexander Tsybulsky to prepare a plan for the development of a comfortable urban environment of Arkhangelsk, reported the press service of Deputy Prime Minister.
Trutnev during the videoconference held a meeting on the draft programme of development of Northern (Arctic) Federal University (NARFU) named after Mikhail Lomonosov in Arkhangelsk in the years 2021-2035.
"We set the task to create a competitive University, which is a competence center in the region. This is an ambitious task. It requires the involvement of appropriate faculty experts. With the current state of the Arkhangelsk make it very difficult. The city needs to put in order. Prepare your vision for the future development of Arkhangelsk and talk with leading architects, see where there is any land where there might be areas for new development, how much you bring to the network" - the words Trutnev press service.
Trutnev said that he hoped that the training program will take about two months.

NARFU named after M. V. Lomonosov is the only Federal University in the Arctic. The University ranks 10th in terms of funding for scientific research of the 17 Arctic universities in the world. The University has more than 24 thousand people for 649 main and additional educational programs. The University offers 136 programs of the Arctic orientation, 73% of graduates are employed in the Arctic region.
