The court for intellectual property rights (SIP) has refused the statement of the Russian "daughter" of Apple to void the patent of the Russian inventor on the model of "Mobile phone emergency", it follows from the records of the court.

Artashes Ikonomov has developed a phone that allows you to connect with emergency services or other subscribers, for example, in cases when a person is missing or not working SIM or no positive balance in the account.

Described by the inventor of the telephone can send or SMS with an attachment of the exact coordinates of the device, or an e-mail, or to connect to the rescue service through the special communication module.

According to the materials of the case, Ikonomov received a patent in 2013. In its lawsuit, OOO "eppl Rus" required to invalidate Rospatent's decision, which rejected the objections of the company, demanding to recognise void the patent Ikonomova.

In the statement Apple said that the application Ikonomova does not meet the criterion of "novelty." In particular, the company cited three published in 2012 U.S. patents, which "have the characteristics described by the Russian inventor". Rospatent, rejecting the objections, noted that in each of the U.S. patents is missing any of the elements proposed by Ikonomova.
