Witnesses in the case of MH17 are subordinates of the Ukrainian Kharchenko

Among the witnesses in the case of the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing (flight MH17) in Ukraine in 2014 is the bodyguard of Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko, who is accused in the case, and his subordinate, allegedly involved in the Stripping of SAM "Buk" towards Russia after the crash, said the Dutch Prosecutor Thijs Berger at the hearing.

The investigation team for MH17, headed by the Netherlands calls Kharchenko, a former field commander of the militia of Donbass.

Hearings on the case of MH17 in the judicial complex Schiphol in the Netherlands was renewed on 8 June.

"Some former members of the armed group accused the DNI, were heard as witnesses... So, witness S07 "the DNR was one of the drivers and bodyguards Kharchenko," - said the Prosecutor at the hearings on Wednesday.

"There are also witness S21 - he was a subordinate Kharchenko and participated in the attainment of SAM "Buk" towards Russia," he said.

As previously stated RIA Novosti the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Nikolai Vinnichenko, the Russian side handed over to the Netherlands not only the data of the Russian radars, but also documentation showing that the missile SAM "Buk" that struck the Boeing belonged to Ukraine, and she was fired from the territory controlled by Kiev, but this information, the investigators ignored. The prosecution acknowledged that it has received and is studying the data of the Russian Prosecutor's office. Also the arguments about the Ukrainian origin of the "Buck" has led the defense Ministry and concern "Almaz-Antey", a developer and manufacturer of missiles.

Moreover, before the Prosecutor Thijs Berger said that the radar data do not confirm the detection of fighters or missiles at the moment of the crash Malaysian Boeing (flight MH17) in Eastern Ukraine in 2014.

The court in the case of the crash of flight MH17 began March 9, 2020. The case involves four defendants - Russians Igor Girkin, Sergey Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko. Pulatova on the court represents an international group consisting of two Dutch and one Russian lawyer. The other suspects tried in absentia.

Later, President Vladimir Putin noted that Russia does not allow for the investigation of the crash of the airliner in Eastern Ukraine, and Moscow may recognize the results of the investigation, if it is to be meaningful.
