Patrushev spoke about the damage in the northwestern Federal district of crime in the energy industry
The level of criminalization of the fuel and energy complex in the North-West of Russia remains high, last year the damage from the crimes in this area exceeded 1.6 billion rubles, stated the Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev.
He spoke on Tuesday at the ongoing videoconference meeting on security issues in the North-West Federal district of the Russian Federation. One of the issues on the agenda of the meeting were measures to fight crime in the energy sector in the northwestern Federal district.
"While the crime rate here remains high. last year in the district internal Affairs agencies identified 124 of the crime, the amount of material damage exceeded 1.6 billion rubles," - said Patrushev, quoted by the press service of the office of security service.
According to him, the crime rate in the FEC noted in the Komi Republic, the Vologda and Leningrad regions.
"The theft of combustive-lubricating materials, oil products. Fixed facts of criminal attacks on cash received from the consumers of energy resources," said Secretary of the security Council.
"I ask the heads of regions, law-enforcement bodies to strengthen work on decriminalization of the energy sector", - said Patrushev.
