The LC evaluated the performance of the humanitarian sub-group on Donbass

The representatives of Kiev and the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics failed to make progress on any matter on the agenda of the meeting of the humanitarian group on the Donbas held on Tuesday in a videoconference mode, has informed journalists following the results of work representative of the LC in the subgroup Olga Kobzeva.

"Over the next teleconference humanitarian groups. Unfortunately, progress on any matter on the agenda could not be reached," said Kobzeva.

According to her, the meeting discussed the issues of liberation of detained persons, the cleaning procedure is transmitted during the exchange of prisoners, the opening of additional checkpoints in areas controlled by the Kyiv Happiness and Gold, as well as the intention of the Ukrainian authorities to open unilaterally closed because of the threat of the spread of coronavirus transmission "Stanitsa Lugansk" in the Donbass.

"The Ukrainian side is deliberately sabotaging the agreement, intentionally make rash unfounded statements. Publicly they declare and confirm their willingness, but in fact they blocked a solution and communica Paris, and Minsk agreements", - said Kobzeva.

In the first three years the summit of the countries "Norman Quartet", which was held in Paris on 9 December 2019, the parties adopted a joint communique and agreed to meet in four months in Berlin to continue work on resolving the situation in Donbas. The communiqué stressed that the Minsk agreements remain the basis for work in the "channel format", provided by the breeding forces by the end of March 2020 in three new points in the Donbass. The leaders also called on to provide up to the end of the ceasefire in the Donbass. However, the meeting never took place, in particular, because of the situation with the pandemic coronavirus in the world.
