Representatives of the Eurasian economic Union agreed on a plan to combat COVID-19
The Council of heads of competent bodies in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population of the States members of the Union agreed on a draft comprehensive plan to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the countries of the Union, reported on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.
Chaired by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova videoconference took place on the tenth of this year's meeting of the Council of heads of authorized bodies in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population of the member States of the Eurasian economic Union (Council leaders) on the situation related to the spread of infection caused by a novel coronavirus. The meeting was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.
The comprehensive plan is aimed at normalizing in the EEU current epidemiological situation with the new coronavirus, and on prevention and response to other infectious diseases with pandemic potential.
"The Board of managers also discussed the current situation with the spread of novel coronavirus infection in the countries of the Union, paying special attention to the practical experience of combating the pandemic in the company, working on a rotational basis," - added in the message.
In addition, the following meetings are planned to discuss the easing of restrictions and conditions for a gradual resumption of the free movement of the population.
According to the report, the participants of the meeting commended and thanked Russia for organizing a series of seminars and workshops on the subject.
