The trade embargo against Cuba was imposed by the US in 1962. In mid-September, the U.S. President signed the decree on the renewal of the trade embargo for one year.
States later imposed sanctions against Raul Castro, it became known on September 26. According to Pompeo, the US have made Castro and his family to the sanctions list for involvement in the violation of human rights. This decision was criticized not only Havana, but also in Moscow. Cuban foreign Minister Parrilla to the UN General Assembly said that the country condemns the restrictions. The Russian foreign Ministry sanctions against Castro called meaningless and unworthy step.
