Sagrada Familia opens in July, but so far only for residents of Barcelona

One of the most famous landmarks of Spain – the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona – will resume in July, but so far is known to date only when it will be available for the residents of this city. Dates open for tourists yet, said General Director of the construction company temple Javier Martinez.

In the second stage of the opening 18 July, the temple will be able to visit the people of Barcelona, and until the end of the year the entrance will be free. The Church will work on weekends in the afternoon.

The third phase – the opening of the Cathedral for everyone, including tourists (both Spanish and foreign) – not yet known. "We don't know when the flow of tourists will be in town, we're waiting. But Sagrada Familia is ready to open its doors immediately when it becomes possible," said Martinez. The Sagrada Familia was closed in mid – March in connection with the epidemic of the coronavirus COVID-19, all construction work was suspended indefinitely.
