Russia and Turkey reached agreement on the supply of the second set of s-400

Russia and Turkey agreed in principle to supply a second set of air defense systems s-400, said the head of the Secretariat of defense industry Ismail Demir.

Russia fulfilled in 2019, the first contract for the supply of Turkey's four battalions of s-400 in the amount of $ 2.5 billion. The contract includes also an option for another regimental kit.

According to him, Turkey intends to put into operation the s-400 despite the delay due to pandemic coronavirus.

He said that Ankara "with interest the proposals for air defense systems, Patriot and the Eurosam".

Deliveries of the newest Russian air defense systems s-400, which caused a crisis in Turkey's relations with the United States, began in mid-July 2019. Washington has demanded to cancel the transaction and return to purchase American complexes Patriot, threatening to delay or even cancel the sale of Turkey's newest F-35 fighter, as well as to impose sanctions in accordance with CAATSA (the law "On combating the enemies of America by sanctions").
