In Sevastopol, patrol ship "Smetliviy" will become a Museum
New historical landmark will appear in Sevastopol: a patrol ship of the first rank (TFR, according to the classification frigate) "Sharp-witted" black sea fleet will soon become a Museum ship, told RIA Novosti on Monday the Deputy of the state Duma of the Russian Federation from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik.
Earlier, the opening of this Museum was scheduled for may 9 this year, however, the pandemic COVID-19 has made adjustments to these plans.
He believes that the ship-Museum can become the top tourist attraction.
The Deputy noted that "Sharp-witted" was a good record and put it as an example to educate the young generation absolutely the right decision.
"The ship can be proud of, let the young looks and absorbs in his example, the true values - love of country, courage and loyalty oath, and tourists will be curious to touch the naval life, to touch the bulkhead, past severe storms and sea miles to go in running cabin, where he made tactically important decisions," said Belik.
He explained that for a long time TFR "Sharp-witted" was part of the fifth operational squadron of the Soviet Navy, which opposed the sixth fleet of the U.S. Navy in the Mediterranean during the "cold war".
