MOE responded to the U.S. proposal to aid in the elimination of accidents in Norilsk

Provision for other States to assist Russia in liquidation of consequences of emergency spill of fuel in Norilsk accepts the leadership of the country, said the first Deputy head EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan.

"Thank you very much to all countries who want us to help. The country's political leadership will determine here or not. Currently of forces and means sufficient for prompt and effective use of (their) elimination of emergency situations", — said Chupriyan.

According to him, the elimination of consequences of the emergency situation involved a group of about 500 people, 200 vehicles, an increased number of reserve tanks to 13.5 thousand.

U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo previously expressed regret over the fuel spill in Norilsk and expressed readiness to help Russia in the struggle with its consequences.

One of the tanks storing diesel fuel at TPP-3 (owned by JSC "NTEK", a member of the group Norilsk Nickel) Norilsk may 29 was damaged in a result of the rapid subsidence of the supports of the Foundation, a leak occurred about 21 thousand cubic meters of fuel.
