The Russian Ambassador to the USA is confident in the implementation of the "Nord stream — 2"
Despite new attempts by American politicians to stop the completion of the construction of the "Nord stream — 2" project will be implemented, such confidence was expressed in the course of communication with journalists in Washington, Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov.
"In the last two days again, a wave that it is necessary to introduce economic sanctions against Russia in relation to the "Nord stream — 2". I can say one thing: the project will be implemented, despite all the obstacles that present us with the United States," - said Antonov.
The bill on sanctions against the "Nord stream — 2" has previously been submitted to the Senate of the United States. He proposes to impose sanctions against the insurers of the ships employed on the construction of a gas pipeline. The document was supported by five senators from both parties, including the influential Senator from Texas Ted Cruz.
The release quoted the head of the Eastern Committee of the German top Manager Oliver Hermes, who called the plans of the Senate of the United States "a direct threat to legal security in the EU", and sanctions against the "Nord stream — 2", in his words, "against dozens of German and European enterprises."
