The candidate in presidents of Belarus of Babariko collected signatures for nomination
The second contender for the presidency of Belarus, former head of Belgazprombank Viktor Babariko, now exceeds 100 thousand signatures necessary for nomination for election, said on Saturday the Agency Sputnik of Belarus.
Presidential elections will be held in the Republic on 9 August, for the nomination of their candidates ' initiative groups should gather at least 100 thousand signatures of citizens. This phase will last until 19 June. On Friday, Mikhail Orda, head of the initiative group in support of nomination of six-term incumbent Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, declared that he signed up over a million voters.
"A candidate for the presidency Victor Babariko already collected necessary for the nomination of a candidate 100 thousand signatures, this he said at the meeting in Brest," the Agency said.
As noted, the remaining contenders for the presidency has not yet announced the achievement of the necessary minimum of signatures. Just the current political campaign in the Republic candidates nominated by 14 people.
