In the center of Jerusalem several streets will become a pedestrian

The municipality of Jerusalem announced the conversion of several streets in the city centre in the pedestrian, to give more opportunity for visitors and locals to spend time and help urban merchants and artists, according to the Ministry of tourism of the country.

Until late summer, officials will close a large Central streets to cars on certain days of the week in a specially scheduled time. They will be allowed to install the outlets, and to attract buyers will be local actors and musicians.

For example, streets Armonim, and sikma, and Dekel and Beit Yaakov will be closed to traffic on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 19:00 and 23:00 and Friday from 09:00 to 15:00.

A similar project was also implemented in the tel Aviv – to the existing pedestrian areas, they added 11 more streets for pedestrians and cyclists.
