In the Crimea six landfills will be included in the reclamation program

The six abandoned landfills in the Crimea will be included in the Federal reclamation program "Pure country", said at a press conference in Simferopol, the Minister of ecology and natural resources of the region Gennady Nara.

He said that the Ministry is preparing the documents for inclusion in the Federal program of reclamation of MSW landfills in the cities of Feodosiya, Yalta, Evpatoria, shchelkine, Dzhankoy and in the settlement Koktebel.

According to him, the documentation for the reclamation of Sudak and Belogorsk polygons on the program "Clean country" has received the positive examination, work will begin in 2021. Large landfills of municipal household waste in Simferopol, Kerch, Old Crimea, Saki, Alushta rekultiviruemye for the Federal target program of development of the Crimea, said the Minister. The works are at various stages of production, in Saki they have already been completed, and other places they are still ongoing or not started.

According to the Ministry, in 2014 in Crimea operated 30 polygons that did not meet sanitary and ecological norms of the legislation of the Russian Federation. Today 10 polygons continue to work, said the Minister.
