In the state Duma appreciated the words of the U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE about "oppression in the Crimea"

The state Duma Deputy Mikhail Sheremet said that the call of US Ambassador to the OSCE James Gilmore to stop the "campaign of oppression in the Crimea" looks at least surprising, and invited him to relax on the Peninsula.

Earlier, Gilmore urged Russia to end its "campaign of oppression" in Crimea to return to Ukraine's full control over the Peninsula, immediately to release all political prisoners and withdraw its troops and military equipment from Eastern Ukraine. According to him, Russia continues the militarization of the Crimean Peninsula, the Black sea and the Azov sea. The Ambassador noted that the United States will never recognize the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, the sanctions will remain in place as long as the Peninsula will not return back to Ukraine. The statement was presented to the OSCE permanent Council in Vienna and posted on the website of the U.S. mission.

According to him, Crimeans do not need advice and recommendations of representatives of Western countries that speculate on the Crimean issue.

"We believe he is right on 100%, and we certainly any advice from other States is not necessary. In Crimea all live happily, happily, happily. Crimeans returned home, live in peace and harmony under the peaceful sky. We ask the U.S. not to interfere in our internal Affairs and do their state and the borders," - said Sheremet.
