Azerbaijan to toughen quarantine mode
Azerbaijan will tighten quarantine regime at the weekend in connection with the increase in the number of infected with a coronavirus, from 6 to 8 June closed all institutions, except medical, this decision took the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
"In connection with the increase in active cases of infection from 00.00 on 6 June (5 June from 23.00 GMT - ed.) to 8 June 06.00 (05.00 GMT - ed.) in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron district will put a strict quarantine regime. Compliance with the requirements specified in the decision is mandatory," reads the decision.
Control over the execution of decisions is entrusted to the Ministry of internal Affairs.
According to the decision, starting from 00.00 6 June until 06.00 on June 8 in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran and Absheron Peninsula will be suspended the activities of all spheres of trade and services, as well as public transport and car (with the exception of ambulances and emergency vehicles).
During this period the residents of these cities are forbidden to leave their place of residence.
"The specified period will be completely suspended all objects except pharmacies and medical institutions", - stated in the decision.
