The Russian Embassy in the United States is concerned about the condition of Russian citizen Konstantin Yaroshenko, which is contained in an American prison, and sent to the state Department a note with the requirement immediately to give him medical treatment.
"In this regard, has sent a note to the US state Department with a demand to take necessary steps for the immediate provision of medical services Yaroshenko. Expect a dental examination will be performed promptly, and our compatriot will be provided with qualified medical aid", - the Ambassador added.
He also urged local law enforcement agencies and international non-governmental organizations to draw attention to the situation of Russian citizens held in American prisons.
"Of particular concern are persons suffering from serious diseases – they are primarily exposed to the risk of infection by coronavirus. The time has come for decisive action. It is crucial to release of Konstantin Yaroshenko and Viktor bout, Roman Seleznev, Bogdan Osipov, Oleg Nikitin and other Russians," - said Antonov.
Yaroshenko in the United States in 2011 was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges in the preparation of the conspiracy to commit delivery of large quantities of drugs into U.S. territory.
