The leader of Iran has compared the treatment by police of Floyd with the behavior of the United States
Iran's Supreme leader Ali Khamenei compared the death of the African-American George Floyd because of the actions of American police with the conduct of Washington in relation to other countries.
"The situation which is observed today in different cities and States, is a manifestation of those realities that are concealed, nothing new in this," said Khamenei, whose speech on the occasion of the first anniversary of the death of the leader of the Islamic revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini aired by Iranian TV.
"The fact that one police officer with full composure presses his knee to the neck of a black man so that he dies, despite the pleas and the other cops watch and do nothing is not something new, this is the essence of the United States. It was engaged in against the world – Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, did, and with many other countries," he added.
