In new York protests continue despite curfew

The protests, triggered by the murder of an African-American George Floyd, continues in the heart of new York city despite 20.00 (3.00 GMT) curfew, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

Column of a thousand people began a March in the heart of Union square. On the sides the crowd was escorted by dozens of police officers. Unlike last night no one is trying to smash the Windows.

RIA Novosti did not notice provocateurs or provocative actions in the column.

The crowd, shouting traditional slogans, went to the southern part of Manhattan, which is clearly smaller stores that might tempt looters.

The crowd can be seen banners with the words "Who do you protect who do you serve?", "Black lives matter", "the Silence covers violence."

Protests gathered in other parts of Manhattan, but today while everything passes without major confrontations and no looting of stores.
