Russian Ambassador hopes to resume flights to Austria by August

The Ambassador of Russia in Austria Dmitry lubinsky expressed the hope that in July - early August, you can count on the resumption of flights between Russia and Austria.

Austria since March 17, has suspended flights to Russia because of the situation with coronavirus.

"I hope that in July or early August, you can count on the resumption of flights. Although I'm not sure that it will be immediately possible in the same volume. For example, at "Aeroflot" in the day there were four flights to Vienna. If I can start with one flight per day, respectively, seven times a week, it would be possible to speak about an important and positive development," the Ambassador said in an online event, organized by the Austrian-Russian friendship society in Vienna.

Austrian Austrian Airlines has previously announced the resumption on 15 June regular flights to 27 cities of Europe, 22 June, the aircraft will also fly to Kiev and Milan.

The Austrian authorities previously extended until 14 June the ban of air traffic with Russia, Ukraine, China, Iran, Italy, France, Spain, the UK and the Netherlands, and 22 may also have included in this list Belarus.
