The Israeli police announced the arrest of eight members of the criminal group suspected of trafficking in women from former USSR countries, including Russia and Ukraine.
"We are talking about a gang that operated for several years, recruited women from the former Soviet Union under the pretext of working therapists. When the girls arrived, they were defined on a discrete apartment where she worked providing sexual services", - told RIA Novosti the official representative of the Israeli police Michael Zingerman.
According to investigators, the group was run by 50-year-old woman, known in the sporting world in Israel. Her details have not been disclosed. The husband of the suspect, according to investigators, was also part of the group.
Also the group included people whose activity was aimed at money-laundering, proceeds of crime. The investigation was conducted by the Central investigation Department of the tel Aviv district in conjunction with the tax authorities and national insurance Institute "bituah Leumi".
