Turkey has resumed domestic flights
Domestic flights resumed in Turkey, said on Monday the Minister of transport and infrastructure of the Republic of Adil Karaosmanoglu.
Domestic air service was suspended in Turkey on April 3 in connection with the pandemic of the coronavirus following the suspension of international flights, which President Tayyip Erdogan said on March 27.
"We have resumed domestic flights. At airports and in planes taken increased security measures and social distancing to prevent coronavirus and minimize risk to the health of passengers and staff," said Karaosmanoglu reporters.
According to him, the first flights on domestic routes will be made from Istanbul to Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and Trabzon. He added that Turkey is negotiating with other countries about the resumption of international flights.
