The Cabinet shall submit to the President an economic recovery plan

The government on Monday must submit to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the national economic recovery plan.

Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers jointly with the regions and the business community to begin work on the plan at the end of April. The document should contain measures of business life and economic growth, restoration of employment and incomes. The President noted that the key task of the plan - not only the stabilization of the situation in the economy, and ensuring long-term, structural changes to reflect the new reality.

According to the forecast of Ministry of economic development of the Russian economy, which suffers losses because of the scale constraints in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection, will be reduced in 2020 by 5%. Next year, the Ministry expects GDP growth of 2.8%. This forecast can be upgraded with the implementation of measures of the national plan.

As reported the head of Ministry of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov, when working on the document had taken into account proposals for the development of small and medium enterprises, import and export, initiatives to restart investment processes, scientific and technological development of the country, as well as measures of sectoral recovery. Proposals in the plan prepared business Association, the members of the Federation Council, the parliamentary parties, in particular, "Fair Russia" and the "United Russia" and public organization.

According to Prime Minister Mikhail mishustina, the plan consists of nine sections and contains over 500 events in various areas, and its implementation covers the period until the end of 2021.

The format of the national plan for economic recovery the President has not yet been determined, but it will not be held behind closed doors, promised the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
