The Moscow Cathedral mosque will open June 1

The Moscow Cathedral mosque will open to the faithful on June 1 in test mode, said RIA Novosti first Deputy head of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (DUM RF) Damir Mukhetdinov.

"Tomorrow without a Declaration of the Moscow Cathedral mosque is starting to work," said Mukhetdinov.

According to him, the massive influx of people in the mosque don't expect, because "the propaganda work in this direction are not".

"At Friday prayers (in the mosque - ed.) the decision is still not accepted. I want to see what will be the reaction of people if we can provide all the regulations necessary: mask, gloves, the work of volunteers, the checkpoint system", - summed up the representative of the DUMAS of the Russian Federation.

He noted that other mosques in Moscow and Moscow region under the jurisdiction of the DUM of the Russian Federation, is closed, and on the work of mosques in other regions of the country decisions are taken by local clergy and regional leaders.

Earlier DOOM of the Russian Federation recommended that Muslim organizations in its jurisdiction, the gradual lifting of restrictions on collective worship as of 1 June 2020. While religious organizations have been directed "to focus on resolutions, decrees and other documents of bodies of state and local governments", and to comply with sanitary norms.

On Saturday it became known that the sanitary authorities of the Moscow region allowed the faithful to visit the temple of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Liturgy time and participate in worship services on the street.
